Tüyap was founded on June 28, 1979 in Istanbul. Its main objective being organization of fairs in Turkey and abroad, Tüyap has organized its first fairs at Istanbul Sports and Exhibition Center, and at Etap Marmara Hotel in Taksim. But the increase in number of new projects and industrial fairs compelled a larger exhibition area. During its years of growth, first the Tüyap Istanbul Exhibition Center in Tepebaşı was put in service on March 30, 1987, and in 1996, with a view to providing services on the long-run at a contemporary fair center, Tüyap Istanbul Fair and Congress Center, with its state of the art infrastructure at international level, was opened.

Tüyap offers opportunities at an international level at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, having 120,000 sqm closed and 25,000 sqm open, summing up to a 145,000 sqm fair ground, by providing a service quality unique to Tüyap, with an eye to excellence. Tüyap Fair and Congress Center is the largest fair area in Turkey as well as being the only one owned by private sector.

Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, sited in Istanbul, a city itself that has been a cradle for civilizations, is an essential meeting point for international trade fairs that offer numerous business opportunities and potential. Exhibitionists and visitors from all over the world enjoy services and infrastructure at domestic and international level, at more than 50 fairs and events. This global platform welcomes every year 14,000 exhibitionists from circa 60 countries and almost 2 million visitors from 70 countries.

Tüyap Fair and Congress Center has been designed in a way to offer exhibitionists and visitors all services they may need.
